Just a Youth Ministry Geek!

Conversations about modern youth ministry

Why I’m a Youth Ministry Geek! August 21, 2008

There is no doubt in my mind that God has given me the passion to write.  I love to write about anything and everything.  When I was in college I looked forward to large term papers.  My roommate thought I was nuts!  I’m also a bit of a geek…which is where the blog title comes in.

So I’ve decided, what better way to use my writing than participating in the conversation of my greatest passion: Youth Ministry.  God called me to youth ministry when I was 15 years old.  In my short time in full time ministry, I have hit several bumps in the road and have had several mountain top experiences.  My hope is that when God shows me something, or gives me an idea–I can share it with the rest of the world so others can reap the same benefit.  My goal is for conversation to take place, an exchange of ideas for those who love students and want to see them connect to Jesus.

So welcome!  I’m glad you’re here and feel free to take part in the discussion at hand!

May the force be with you…or live long and prosper..which ever you prefer!

I think you should write a book. I’ve always thought you would be a great writer/author.

    Hi,
There’s an article in the most recent edition of Sojourners on the online segregation of Christians. The author basically calls it the online equivalent of Dr. King’s quote, “the most segregated hour of Christian America is eleven o’clock on Sunday morning”. I thought you might want add your thoughts by blogging on this issue.
